RS School offers a unique learning experience as a free, community-based online education initiative. The RS School has been run by the Rolling Scopes community since 2013. Today, over 600 developer-volunteers from various countries and companies assist as mentors. We believe in important ideas that guide our mission.
RS School Principles are an ability to complete our mission
Open to everyone
Free courses, no obligations, and no contracts. No age limit. Only students’ time and dedication are required. Students can repeatedly attend courses.
Open source philosophy
Our Learning Management System platform and educational materials are publicly available on GitHub and YouTube.
"Teach it forward"
Students study at school for free, but we request that they return as mentors to pass on their knowledge to the next generation of students.

Mentors wanted!
The Rolling Scopes School is constantly looking for mentors from all over the world to teach everyone who wants to learn the JavaScript language and the world of Front-end. Over the past few years, over 1500+ people have successfully completed our six month training program.
How to become a mentor
Mentorship is for you if you
- Feel the desire to share your experience and knowledge
- Feeling a lack of communication
- You would like to upgrade your soft & hard skills
- Do you want to train acquaintances / friends / colleagues, but you do not have a ready curriculum or you studied at The Rollings Scopes School, and it's time for "Teach It Forward"
- Looking for beginner developers to join your company or project
Requirements for mentors
- Desire to help students. If you've been working with JS/TS in production for more than 6 months, then that's great
- Desire to mentor 2 to 6 students online or in person
- Ability to spend 3 to 5 hours per week
Mentor responsibilities
- Conducting an interview
- Code review tasks
- Answers to students' questions
